Nordisk Panorama
The Living Room of the Nation is competing for the prize of the Best Nordic Documentary at Nordisk Panorama 2009 in Reykjavik. Nordisk Panorama – 5 Cities Film Festival is held in Reykjavik from the 25th to the 30th of September.

TLROTN worldwide
The Living Room of the Nation was screened in Serbia at European Film Festival Palić. TLROTN was a part of the festival’s New Finnish Film category. European Film Festival Palić took place from the18th to the 24th of July.

Todellisuuden TAJU 2009 -exhibition
The Living Room of the Nation has been selected for Todellisuuden TAJU 2009 -exhibition in Hyvinkää Museum of Art. The theme of the exhibition is confronting and understanding of reality. The exhibition is open June 12th – August 30th 2009. Curator of the exhibition is Professor Teemu Mäki.

The Living Room of the Nation wins Special Award at Tampere Film Festival
The Jury said:
Forget Nokia and innovation economy! The jury hereby demands that this film must from now on be used as the main tool for building the Brand Finland. […]
[…] At first the characters in the film may seem like an amusing collection of freaks, but in the end their situation and worries are proven to be the same as ours – much like the situation and worries of the characters in Samuel Beckett’s prose and drama.
